How to Become a Member at PACC:
Membership is that point we reach when we realize and commit to the purpose, vision and mission of PACC. You are saying that “God has planted me at PACC in every way.” This means we are committed to serving, following the leadership and participating together in fulfilling our mission as a church.
We use the acronym “BELONG” to outline biblical membership of a church body. As we looked to define membership, we realized membership in our culture usually is defined by meeting certain criteria in order to qualify. biblically however, membership in the local church is defined by our new identity in Christ; When we give our lives to Christ we automatically give ourselves to His Church too! It’s not something we add later, it’s something we buy into from day one. That said, our faith is largely defined by our participation in a church as we worship, serve, give and grow. Because we BELONG to Christ, we BELONG to the Body of Christ, the Church. So it’s not a question of IF we will be a member, rather, it’s a question of where are we going to participate. if you want to be part of PACC, then this is what you are signing up for and committing to:
“Connecting people to Jesus”
“To be a church of multiple sites and services within the Spokane/Cd’A area”
We use the terms Gathering, growing, and Going to propel us to go accomplish our Mission to connect people to Jesus.
The process comes full circle when, as we Go into new parts of our community and establish community groups for the purpose of Growing, we reach a point where we have multiple community groups in that area and are able to launch a Gathering.
Bringing in the Harvest:
This is what Jesus has called His Church to do. We are committed to being a community of believers who are on a MISSION – Connecting People to Jesus – sharing the Gospel with our world!
Engaged in Serving:
Jesus Himself demonstrated what it means to be a servant and we committed to following in His footsteps.
Leading in Generosity:
Our desire it to be a community of people who give generously. Giving is an act of grace which all of us as members of the Church are commended to grow in. We are committed to giving with generosity, eagerness and joy!
2 Corinthians 8:1-8
Our vision at PACC is to be a church of disciples who are making disciples. In large part this happens in our Community Groups where we gather in each other’s homes week to week and learn and encourage each other in God’s Word.
Never Stop Praying:
We believe prayer changes things. “People content with what they can produce don’t pray.” In other words, if we want to see God size movement in our families, communities and world we must be a people of prayer. We are committed to praying together for God to move in BIG ways because we simply can’t do it on our own!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-21
We are committed to gathering together corporately for times of worshiping Jesus and hearing His Word. We see the value of not only meeting in our homes, building relationships and making disciples, but we also value coming together as the larger body of Christ and celebrating what God is doing. We do this every Sunday during our regular service at 10am.
